Pamela Train Leutz

Dallas, Texas 
Leutz began bookbinding in 1979 when she began taking classes with Dorothy Westapher at the Craft Guild of Dallas. She studied in Switzerland with Hugo Peller and with Jan and Jarmila Sobota in Dallas. Leutz has taught bookbinding classes for seventeen years and currently teaches at the Craft Guild of Dallas.

Full leather binding of black morocco sewn on cords with laced on boards. Red leather onlays on the raised letterform design. The top edge is gilt with white gold leaf, and has blind-tooled titling.

Design Description: 
Full leather binding of black goatskin, featuring blue and green goatskin onlays on a raised labyrinth design. Sewn on cords with laced on boards. Back board design is tooled with green leather onlay strips. Black paste paper end sheets with blue and green grid lines, and gilt-edge top tooled to create a labyrinth. Gold-tooled titling on the spine.
