Don E. Sanders

Austin, Texas 
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Sanders worked at the Jenkins Publishing Co. (Adolphus Bindery), was an apprentice to Ernest Brunner, and was a long time binder in House Bindery (Adolphus) Jenkins. He currently works at the Preservation Department of the Perry-Castañeda Library at the University of Texas at Austin, operates Sanders Bindery, and participates in many exhibitions.

Sewn two-on using five supported stations with recessed cords. Covering is in full read leather (goat and calf) applied as irregular patches over twelve alternately inset and raised panels. The panels represent the twelve Wilcox bindings. Endpapers are of handmade oriental paper with colored fibers. Hand-sewn headbands.

Design Description: 
Sewn two-on, on recessed cords with irregular leather patch covering. Various blues with browns, oranges, and maroons and raised letters of the title on the front board. Finished with handmade colored endpapers and blue silk hand-sewn headbands.
