Wait has a degree in Art History from Barnard College, New York, and a background in studio art. She studied with Richard Tullett at Croydon College of Art, England and with Don Etherington and Tony Cains at the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin. Wait has run a bookbinding studio in Denver since 1981, conserving rare books and creating art books and fine bindings. Her work is in several university and private collections.

The two female figures will be represented in pigment and colored foil, with the tower and green garden as leather onlays.
