A “partner’s desk” with knee space on two sides this was originally in the office of Leon Harris, Sr., whose father founded A. Harris and Co. in 1886, an early Dallas department store which later became Sanger-Harris. The desk was given to Bridwell Library by his wife and son for the use of founding director Decherd Turner.
