The two introductory catechisms for young readers in this illustrated pamphlet published by the American Sunday-School Union are based on catechisms originally prepared for Sunday schools in London. The back wrapper indicates, “These little catechisms were prepared for little children. In the first, the questions and the answers rhyme; in the second the question is in prose, and the answer is in two lines which rhyme. The sentiment in both is the same.” Both forms are pictured, with questions and answers in rhyme on page 6 and answers in two rhyming lines on page 7.
