A Pocket Hymn Book, for the Use of Christians of All Denominations.
London: Printed for George Whitfield… sold by the Methodist Preaching-Houses, 1799. (BRA1023)

Although it is not known whether the owner of this book of hymns was a Methodist, as it was intended for “all denominations,” the book was printed by Methodists and sold in Methodist preaching houses. The artistically-inclined owner of the volume, one Thomas Wright, decorated its front endpaper with two inscriptions, “The gift of T. Wright from C. Tynes… 2nd Dec. 1809,” and “Join with me to serve the Lord.” An additional inscription within the book reads “C. Tynes her book.”
