Muhammad ibn Sulayman al-Jazuli (d. 1465).
Dala’il al-Khayrat wa Shawariq al-Anwar fi Dhikr al-Salat ‘ala al-Nabi al-Mukhtar.
Illuminated manuscript in Arabic on paper.
[Ottoman Empire, early 19th century]. (BRMS 62)

This handsome copy of the Dala’il al-Khayrat is typical in that the devotional text is introduced by a gilded decorative panel with an arch-shaped ornament above. The manuscript was inscribed at the end by a previous owner, Mustafa ibn Salman Pasha, in 1263 AH (1847 CE).
