A pictorial guide intended to complement Canisius’s Parvus catechismus catholicorum, this Antwerp 1589 edition includes a series of 103 plates designed and engraved by Pieter van der Borcht (1545–1608). The illustrations represent scenes from the life of Christ as well as virtues and vices, the Ten Commandments, the Seven Deadly Sins, and the sacraments. Each plate includes a title heading and a short explanatory text underneath each image.
