(BRMS 195)

This manuscript collection of processional hymns was prepared by Antonius Spanoghe for the use of the Order of the most Holy Annunciation, a Roman Catholic order for contemplative nuns founded in Genoa and approved by the pope in 1604. The author served as abbot of the Sint-Bernardus abbey at Hemiksem, near Antwerp. The two-color liturgical work includes staves, initials, and text headings in red with musical text and interlinear text in black. The volume is enhanced throughout with seventeen interleaved full-page engravings.
