Pietism was a complex movement composed of both churchly and separatist manifestations. Churchly Pietists were those who continued to practice their renewed faith within the established Protestant churches. This section of the exhibition includes works written by or translated by Lutheran and Reformed Pietists who endeavored to revive their churches from within.
