George Whitefield was one of the great revival preachers of the eighteenth century. His ministry began in England and concluded in North America, where he died in 1770. A close associate of John Wesley and Charles Wesley and chaplain to the Countess of Huntingdon, Whitefield championed Calvinistic Methodism.
This Whitefield work shown is a published sermon on one of the central themes of the Pietist movement, spiritual rebirth through the transformative working of the Holy Spirit.
