Anton Koberger of Nuremberg operated the most extensive printing and bookselling enterprise of the fifteenth century in Europe. This is the second and finest of eight editions of the Latin Bible that he published between 1475 and 1501. In this 1477 printing, textual additions by Menardus Monachus provide an abstract of the contents for each book of the Bible.
