Description
An account of the resource
This broadside prohibits several politically seditious works as well as the novel Lettres à Eugenie, here listed erroneously under the authorship of the French scholar Nicolás Freret, but actually the work of the renowned atheist Paul Henri Thiry, Baron d'Holbach (1723–1789). The novel is said here to have "declared war on religion, its dogmas, mysteries, ministers, and ceremonies.".
