Gilt calfskin binding. The ornate centerpiece block, dotted background, elegant cornerpieces, and the leafy hatched tool that extends out of the centerpiece indicate that it may be the work of the still-unidentified "MacDurnan Gospels Binder" (named after a famous binding at Lambeth Palace).
