Description

Produced for the Diocese of Augsburg, this farmers almanac for the year 1783 provided scientific, religious, and zodiacal information for use in rural daily life. This broadside calendar features symbols for moon cycles, woodcuts with activities for each of the months, and woodcuts for the Holy Roman Empire, Bishop of Augsburg, and the Adoration of the Shepherds.
