Paiwan Acts

Paiwan Acts.
Taiwan: Bible Societies in Hong Kong and Taiwan, 1961. (BRB1060)

Paiwan, a native language of Taiwan, is a Formosan language of the Austronesian family. This is the first printing of Acts in this language and only the second publication of any portion of the Bible, following the printed translation of Mark in 1959. The translation was accomplished by John N. Whitehorn (b. 1925) of the English Presbyterian Mission with the assistance of a committee.
