Finally, the promise of the Passion is fulfilled as Christ returns at the Last Judgment. Enthroned between the Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist, who petition for his mercy, Christ sends the faithless sinners into the mouth of Hell while his angels accompany those who believe into the eternal light of Heaven.
