Wood, zinc lithographic plates, c. 2015
United Methodist Publishing House Collection at Bridwell Library

This pair of undulating wall reliefs was produced by Franklin, Tennessee, artist Adam Gaskill for display in the lobby of the United Methodist Printing House corporate offices at Metrocenter, Nashville. The reliefs feature printing plates for covers of books produced by the Printing House. Gaskill mounted the plates to fit rolling curves of underlying plywood forms. Gaskill, proprietor of Gaskill’s Hop Shop in Franklin, was known for “Art Bikes”, bicycles he fabricated and exhibited as a student at Middle Tennessee State University.
