Bachelor of Divinity Thesis

Outler received his Bachelor of Divinity degree on June 10, 1933. His sister, Frances (Fan) Isabelle Outler (1902–1984), also received her Master of Arts degree at the same ceremony. Albert Outler’s B.D. thesis, The Use of Psychotherapy in Pastoral Work, evidences his early interest in exploring how the fields of psychology and pastoral ministry might work together for the greater good of society.
