Bridwell Library’s copy of this 1792 first edition of Mrs. Trimmer’s abridged Old Testament includes inscriptions on the verso of the title page (on display) and the rear pastedown recording births between 1808 and 1822 in the family of Robert Liddle. The front pastedown was also inscribed by Robert Liddle on June 15, 1820 and on August 18, 1830 by Joseph Long, who received the volume as a gift from Liddle, his uncle.
