In this mid-nineteenth century illustrated ABC for learning letters and scripture, each page is devoted to a single letter A through Z (Adam through Zachariah) and is illustrated with a single large wood-engraving and accompanied by explanatory verse. The booklet concludes with hymns and prayers for morning and evening devotions and the Lord’s Prayer.
