Intended for young children, all seventeen sermons in this work begin with a quotation from scripture and conclude with a hymn reinforcing the subject of the individual text. First published in London in 1789, the work was reprinted in both England and America through the first quarter of the nineteenth century. On exhibit is the deluxe edition of the stated fifth edition, bound in full sheep with eight copperplate engravings.
